It was sad to hear about Issac Hayes passing away this past weekend. Issac Hayes records were some of the first old records that I really sought out and listened to from beginning to end. Before hearing his originals I remember hearing songs like Compton's Most Wanted's "Hood Took Me Under" and loving the sound.
I bought To Be Continued in 1998 and remember listening to the album all the way through. Look Of Love blew me away, and when I unexpectedly heard a Smif & Wessun sample at the end and how Issac tore down that entire climax of music into the keys and flutes my heart skipped a beat.
