I just downloaded Audacity this morning and I'm mixing a track I recorded with Mr. Wright a few days ago. I haven't tried anything advanced, but so far I think it's great. No need to get Audition or Pro Tools if you're just mixing stuff that's already recorded.
I wasn't even thinking about trying to record with it, but maybe I'll try.
